Gender Specific Treatment of Common Ailments Seen in the Manual Practice
Ursa concepts will be presented for Gender Specific issues based on the biological, physiological, pathological and therapeutic differences between women and men in the manual therapy setting. This class will include discussion of the same issues from the perspective of the gender being treated. This class should help to better define why the same approach has to be different from male and female presenting with the same dysfunctions. Different sequences of treatment will be discussed and demonstrated during lecture and laboratory time. Several treatment concepts will be presented to normalize dysfunction as it relates to the gender specific patients.
